Der floral, leicht würzige Humboldt Gin ist in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Botanikern des Botanischen Gartens Berlin entstanden. Die Basis bildet – wie auch bei den Whiskeys der Spreewood Distillers – ein feines Destillat aus deutschem Roggen. Sieben der 21 enthaltenen Botanicals sind Pflanzen, die Alexander von Humboldt auf seiner Amerikareise gesammelt und zum Teil erstmals in Europa bekannt gemacht hat: Epazote, Congona, Angostura- und Chinarinde, Guaraná-Samen, Piment und ein blauer Salbei. Alle Botanicals werden im Roggendestillat zunächst mazeriert und anschließend schonend für ein volles Aroma in unseren kupfernen Hybrid Pot Stills redistilliert. Trinkempfehlung: Pur oder mit Tonic und einer Menge Abenteuerlust!
Im malerischen Dorf Schlepzig in Brandenburg liegt die Manufaktur Spreewood Distillers. Dort entsteht hochwertiger Gin, Whiskey und Rum für Kenner. Auf Farb- und Aromastoffe wird dabei bewusst verzichtet. Roggen und Gerste stammen aus regionalem Anbau.
