The Oberbergener Bassgeige from Franz Keller keeps its promise. The dry Pinot Gris is clearly characterised by its typical scent of flint and yellow fruits and wonderfully spicy notes. The fruity nuances of apple and melon paired with a powerful spiciness are already noticeable at the first sip. The acidity is wonderfully invigorating despite all the concentration. We recommend this Pinot Gris with light dishes such as white meat, shellfish and game pâtés.
In the middle of the Kaiserstuhl Mountains in Baden-Württemberg lies the Franz Keller vineyard, which is now run by the third generation of the same-named winemaker and restaurateur.
