Mutterland is a multi-award winning Hamburg delicatessen company with its own gastronomy, production kitchen, bakery, deli and an online shop. We sell delicacies from 200 different factories in our four Mutterland locations.

THE MUTTERLAND PHILOSOPHY

We appreciate traditionally produced delicacies from all regions of Germany at Mutterland and therefore collect high-quality delicacies from small and medium-sized manufacturers for you. As an owner-managed, Hamburg delicatessen store, we regularly meet our passionate manufacturers personally and .

We like to pay tribute to loving mothers and the domestic kitchen. At Mutterlan you will find savoury and sweet foods, as well as fresh home-made food, which already made us feel good and happy in our childhood. We are happy to take care of you in our stores or at home.

ECO & FAIR: WHAT DOES MUTTERLAND DO?

Our lifestyle should not be built at the expense of others. A fair and respectful treatment of our environment is the guiding principle of the Mutterland philosophy and not just marketing chatter. Here are some examples:

Mutterland runs only regional manufactures and uses regional and seasonal ingredients for the gastronomy
Mutterland has most of its packaging materials manufactured in Germany and uses environmentally friendly printing inks and recycling materials wherever possible
Mutterland sends all online orders with the more environmentally friendly GoGreen service and thus compensates for CO2 emissions
Mutterland donates unsold fresh food to aid organizations
Mutterland is increasingly reducing the paper requirements in administration
Mutterland offers customers a discount on their hot drinks when they bring their coffee to go cups with them

In 2005, Mutterland owner Jan came up with the idea of building the Mutterland shelf system from old fruit boxes. A loving reminiscence of the traditional food transport.
