The forge of Gin Sul, the Altonaer Spirituosen Manufaktur, was founded in 2013. Hamburg's small gin manufactory is located between the Phoenix-Hof, the factory and the Thalia Theatre on Gaußstraße. In the twenties, coals were stored here, then cucumbers and bottles after the war, until at some point it became a carpentry workshop. Today, the rooms house Hamburg's first manufactory distillery.
