This creamy, light spread is made by hand from the crystallised fir tip syrup after carefully adding highland coffee. By the way, we all know saplings from walks in the forest as pretty light green little tips that sprout from the ends of branches of almost all coniferous trees. These saplings are harvested by hand at the perfect time on natural fir plantations and gently boiled down with the best organic beet sugar from Germany to a fine, tart-sweet syrup. The taste is reminiscent of Canadian maple syrup or classic beet syrup, but is more tart and slightly more aromatic. The consistency resembles solid honey.
The possible uses in the kitchen are as complex as they are exciting! Whether in a marinade for meat and vegetables, as a sweetener in tea, as a spread on bread or on pancakes - this fir sweetness is a delicious hit! The syrup is also a great alternative to maple syrup and agave syrup. Have fun refining it!
