An elegant, clearly structured Riesling. In the glass, the dry Riesling unfolds a floral scent of elderberry and violets, in the mouth it is polished yet supple. Goes well with delicate fish, light summer dishes, poultry or seafood.
The Tesch winery in Langenlonsheim on the Nahe in Rhineland-Palatinate has been around since 1723. Martin Tesch, a doctor of biology, followed in his ancestors' footsteps in 1997 and took over the winery from his parents. He reduced his cultivated vineyard area from 30 to about 19 hectares. The aim of this drastic reduction was to increase quality by exclusively cultivating top vineyards such as the Laubenheimer Karthäuser and St. Remingiusberg, the Langenlonsheimer Königsschild and the Löhrer Berg. The focus here is on the Riesling grape, where he sees the greatest potential. Riesling is our window to nature. Every vineyard has a different soil. Only the Riesling perfectly reproduces this phenomenon. In the cellar, he concentrates on the essentials and on returning to old traditions. The screw cap protects the wine perfectly and allows it to mature reliably into a great food companion. Today, the Tesch winery stands for top-class dry Rieslings.
