Aged in Calvados barrel Bio-Gin, 50,6% Vol., 0,5l

This overproof gin is an absolute delight. Matured in Calvadoss barrels, it produces a fresh, complex and passionate gin with a decent drinking strength. Herbal notes, floral hints, a little apple, fine wood, vanilla. In the mouth, the gin is fruity, with discreet wood, a touch of Calvados and a warming, long-lasting finish that once again reflects the entire spectrum of aromas. The basis for the Overproof is the Dry Gin Jos Garden. The great-granduncle of the distillery's owners, Josef Ehringhausen, was a trained pharmacist with a flair and soft spot for special plants. When the Glitz-Ehringhausen siblings were clearing out their old attic, they happened to come across Jos' old herbaria. This laid the foundation for the Ehringhausen distillery's extraordinary gins. The Overproof tastes best neat at room temperature, but can also be enjoyed on ice or with a good tonic.

The Jos. Garden Overproof was awarded gold by the ISW in 2019.

In 2012, the siblings Theres and Georg Glitz-Ehringhausen took over their parents' distillery and have since continued the distiller's craft in the proven family tradition with a great deal of passion. With a lot of passion, creativity and a love of nature, they discover new flavours for their brandies and liqueurs. By the way, the distilling is of course done on the farm in Werne, which has been in the family for over 700 years.
