How do you make something really good even better? By letting it rest in selected rum barrels for 6 months. The Barrel Aged Organic Gin Reserve convinces friends of a cultivated drink with a deep, spicy and spirited taste. Fresh coriander, cinnamon, citrus and floral lavender notes meet fine rum and subtle wood notes. The basis for the Reserve is the lively New Western Dry Gin Jos Garden. The great-granduncle of the distillery's owners, Josef Ehringhausen, was a trained pharmacist with a flair and soft spot for special plants. When the Glitz-Ehringhausen siblings were clearing out their old attic, they happened to come across Jos' old herbaria, in which he neatly recorded the local flora and exotic items from his travels. This laid the foundation for the extraordinary gins of the Ehringhausen distillery. The Reserve tastes great neat, on ice or with a good tonic.

In 2012, the siblings Theres and Georg Glitz-Ehringhausen took over their parents' distillery and have since continued the distiller's craft in the proven family tradition with a great deal of passion. With a lot of passion, creativity and a love of nature, they discover new flavours for their brandies and liqueurs. By the way, the distillery is of course located on the farm in Werne, which has been in the family for over 700 years. Tradition and a nip of young zeitgeist make the fine drops of the distilling siblings real masterpieces.
