Spicy pickled onions with balsamic vinegar
These balsamic onions from the Bergisches Land are a spicy, slightly sweet delicacy. The pickled onions take on the colour, acidity and aroma of the balsamic vinegar. With a little brown sugar, olive oil, salt and spices, a delicious side dish is created without any chemicals or flavour enhancers. Delicious with a dinner platter of ham and cheese. It also tastes great with fried steak, on a burger or as a topping on homemade pumpkin risotto.
Königskind is Uwe König's small gourmet manufactory in the Oberberg region. What began in 2005 as a hobby in the kitchen at home became an official project of the heart in 2014. From the untreated fruits of local nature, delicacies are made by hand in the small manufactory that have already been forgotten by many. Fruit spreads, mustard, chutney and co. are produced completely without flavourings, colourings, preservatives and flavour enhancers.
